We have continued to forge excellent links with the education sector in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and other parts of the South West of England. Our “Demystifying Islam” presentation work with educational establishments is now seen by many schools and colleges as a complementary subject to their teaching of Islam to pupils at all levels and ranges as part of their Religious Education curriculum. This work ranges from primary school level going through to secondary, GCSE and university level.
We have worked with a number of schools at GCSE level and our work has become an invaluable aid to supporting students studying Islam as part of their GCSE Religious Studies curriculum. We have dealt with a range of topics from general Islam to Islam's point of view on cloning, fertility treatment, human rights, women in Islam, equality, genetic engineering, life and death issues, issues around Muslim burial and death.
We are regularly asked to attend schools in other cities as well. As a result of this work, we have also been regularly contacted to advise on issues affecting Muslim pupils
