BMCS has worked tirelessly towards developing a smooth and efficient funeral and burial procedure whilst ensuring valuable support is provided to family members during bereavement. In conjunction with our partners, we have built relationships with mosques, Bristol City Council, hospitals, the coroner’s office, registrars and with the cemeteries in and around Bristol.
Our efforts to make this process as inclusive and as informed as possible has been achieved by actively engaging with all local Muslim communities to ensure we are informed about their varying needs. This required community leaders to hold meetings in order to discuss how to provide burial services best tailored to the diverse Muslim communities in Bristol.
An outcome of this meeting was a steering group; a representative panel to liaise, meet and conclude matters with the relevant authorities on our behalf with regards to funeral and burial services.
Ten Things You Need To Know About Marriage
BMCS in partnership with Building the Bridge and Bristol Womens Network offered an opportunity for all members of the community to attend a lecture entitled “Ten Things You Need To Know About Marriage” delivered by Ajmal Masroor, a respected relationship counsellor. The event provided advice on creating and maintaining a healthy marriage.
